Sweet little ol' Nuns v. Obama Administration

Now this is amazing. The Obama administration is going after some sweet little nuns. The Little Sisters of the Poor Home for the Aged have sued to exempt themselves from the contraceptive mandate forced upon them by Washington legislators...and the administration is fighting back. The nuns argue the mandate violates their religious freedom. According to TIME, Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor granted an injunction.

While this is mostly symbolic and any decision will not impact the outcome of the law, it goes to the heart of something a bit more troubling. We are now witnessing an administration that is fervently fighting against religious liberty, in direct conflict with the 1st Amendment. It is on the same level as forcing a Kosher deli to serve pork.

This isn't what our government should be doing. It is shameful. It becomes clear when the most powerful government on earth is fighting sweet little ol' nuns over birth control.
