Duck Dynasty Suspension: Not the most important news of the day.
Things that happened this week:
1. In a recent GQ article, Phil Robertson of Duck Dynasty fame stated his belief that homosexuality is a sin. He was well within his 1st Amendment rights to do so.
2. The A&E Network placed Phil Robertson on indefinite leave from Duck Dynasty due to his controversial comments, as they did not reflect the values of the network. A&E is well within their rights to protect their brand.
Statement released from A&E: "His personal views in no way reflect those of A&E Networks, who have always been strong supporters and champions of the LGBT community. The network has placed Phil under hiatus from filming indefinitely."
3. Today the New Mexico Supreme Court ruled that denying same-sex marriage licenses was unconstitutional.
Guess which one is the biggest deal. (*HINT*) It has nothing to do with reality television.
