Spirit Day (10.17.13): Wear Purple

Soon Americans across the country will stand against bullying to show their support for LGBT youth. We will be wearing purple to show solidarity with those that live in fear and are judged for who they are. The color choice is in reference to the corresponding purple "Spirit" bar in the Rainbow Flag. We encourage you to get involved too.

How to be involved:

• On Thursday, October 17th, show purple by wearing it or changing your online images.
• Reach out to those that need a safe person to talk to.
• Direct those who need guidance or are interested in helping to a number or organizations:
• It Gets Better Project
• GLAAD
• Human Rights Campaign
