Slavery was always unconstitutional.
Segregation was always unconstitutional.
Suffrage restriction was always unconstitutional.
Subsequent amendments to our Constitution merely clarified these facts.
Same-sex marriage has always been a legal exercise in the United States of America. It’s the State that violates our Constitution when denying equal recognition and protections under the law. This is in direct violation of the 14th Amendment:
“...No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States (...) nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.
